Reed Diffusers Aftercare

A reed diffuser has a combination of fragrances and scented oils. When the reeds are placed in the liquid, the oil is drawn up the stem of the reed through the microscopic channels that run along the entire length of the reed. The scent is then naturally dispersed into the air through the process of evaporation.

It will often take a day or two for the complete scent diffusion to occur, depending on the temperature and size of the room.

You can revitalise the release of the fragrance by inverting or changing the reeds, and we recommend that you do this every fortnight to ensure that there is no drop in the scent diffusion.

We have found that our reed diffusers should last between 8 to 12 weeks, but this will depend on many factors including the fragrance and the number of reeds used. You will find that diffusion slows down in cooler weather, and increases in warmer weather.

Other factors that will change the rate of diffusion include the size of the room, and the air circulation and draughts.

You can reduce the diffusion process by reducing the number of reeds in the diffuser.

We want you to enjoy the aroma produced from our diffusers, but please, do not store or use a diffuser close to a naked light or flame or fire.
